On a Technical Note....

Just in case you don't know, I am brand new to blogging. So, especially in the early stages, expect to see changes and glitches from time to time. I am going to apologize for any future glitches now.

While I'm on this subject, does anybody out there have experience with working out the bugs in blogs? Actually, the problem is in my home computer. The blog looks like it should on every computer but my own. On my home p.c., I can't add page elements, I can't rearrange page elements, I can't see my adsense ads, I can't upload a picture to my profile, I can't add items to any list I currently have on the blog.... it's been frustrating spending as much time as I have on it and not being able to fix this.

My computer runs on Win 2000, with IE 6. I have plenty of RAM, and to the best of my knowledge Java is enabled, and I have emptied the cache on several occassions. I have tried turning off every combination of my popup blocker, virus program, and Zone Labs. NOTHING has made a difference! I will probably be upgrading to either Win XP or Vista, and IE 7 in the near future, but I need to get this problem fixed now!! PLEASE, can someone help?

Coming Soon: Some examples of our books, (with pictures I hope!), two books that have us stumped, how I got started with this obsession called being a bibliophile........

Mark,

Not a very technical answer, but try downloading the Firefox browser. I had issues with IE 6 where curtain links don't work. Heck if I could figure it out.

Found you on Sarah's blog even thou I'm out west in Denver where it is sunny, sunny and tomorrow should be up to 70 degrees.

Thanks for your comment, Steve. I have heard this suggestion before, but I think this time I'll try it. You're in sunny Denver, huh? We are thinking of moving to the Grand Junction area this summer. I know that's on the other side of the state, but please tell me if you know anything about the area.

Not too familiar with Grand Junction, but I'd opt for it just to stay away from the millions of people in the Denver area. Trail heads and camping spots are so crowded anywhere less than two hours from here. I moved here in the late 80'd for the mountain, and weather, but not (all) the people. Also, if your selling used books, this is a very hard market. Out largest and oldest used bookstore went out of business a few months ago due to internet pressure and operating cost. Grand Junction might be a different story.

Good luck.

Mark,

Excuse the mis-spellings. Home sick today and not paying much attention to my typing skills. I'll retract my statement about it being a hard market for used books, since it appears you'll be doing all your business via internet. Store front sales have it hard, it would seem. I'll keep my eye on your inventory when you get it up and running.

Take care,

Steven
